It all started 250 million years ago…

I finally got a Himalayan salt lamp! I’d been wanting one for years, but couldn’t find one in my price range, so I pushed it down on my “wish list”. A few weeks ago, I decided to look online and see if any were do-able. Luckily, they’ve come down a bit in price over the years, but I quickly realized that shipping would be a killer because they are so heavy. Enter Wal-Mart dot com. (Don’t kill me). Free site to store shipping! I have a Wal-Mart fairly close to me, and the price was right, so I pounced. After stalking my inbox every day for the email to come pick it up, it finally arrived about a week later. So off I drove, as excited as a little girl on Christmas Eve and twice as impatient to get my new purchase. First, I waited in line at the Customer Service desk for over 20 minutes. When I finally got to the counter, I was informed that I had to go to the back of the store to the counter and pick it up there. Grrrr… Once I got there…. no one to be seen running the counter. So I pushed the button for customer service and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, I decided to walk around a bit and try to find an associate to help me. No luck. I went back to the counter to find myself in ANOTHER line that had formed ahead of me in my absence. *sigh* Just my luck. The associate finally arrived and all systems were go. But I was quite annoyed by this time. I didn’t complain, but my face probably said it all. lol The girl behind the counter apologized profusely, I nodded my head non-committedly, signed for my parcel and left. Later, of course, I felt kinda bad about being so rude. I was about to get a gentle reminder though…

Needless to say, as soon as I got home, I unpacked it, cleaned it, and found the perfect spot for it on my bedroom stand. The intensity of light coming from it can be controlled with a dial on the cord. Perfect! I like having a soft light for those times when I have to get up and use the bathroom. What can I say? I have a love for green tea and it keeps me flushed out. lol So I set up my lamp, feeling very pleased and happy, and took a quick picture of it to post on Instagram.

My Instagram account automatically posts to my Twitter account, and almost immediately I get a text from Twitter informing me that one of my posts had been Favorited. I assume it’s my new salt lamp shot. But when I check, I see it’s not.

Instead it was this post from way back in August of last year.

LOL Universe you are so funny! Synchronicity at work. It also wasn’t lost on me the person’s name that Favorited my tweet. Lily XS. I immediately connected XS (extra small) to the word “petit”,  and Lily is a card in the Petit Lenormand. Maturity and patience. Universe, I hear  you. ❤
